Amazon asked for a UIN for France? Here is the 4th field.
Direct answer: UIN is the name Amazon's screens give to the French producer registration number (IDU in French, format FRxxxxxx_xx), issued per EPR category by the eco-organisation the producer is registered with. Amazon's environmental compliance section for France asks for four details: country, producer, registration number, and, for a producer established outside France, an authorised representative established in France. UIN France is that representative: a brand of REP·Pro, Béziers. It is you who determine which categories your listings fall under.

Seller Central shows a notice about French EPR compliance, a field asks for a registration number for France, and a line asks for an authorised representative. Three of the four details you already have: the country, your company, and, if you are registered, the number. The fourth is a representative established in France. That is us, and we also obtain the number for the categories you tick.

The four details Amazon asks for, and which one is ours
Independent worksheet, not a Seller Central screen. The wording below follows the way Amazon's help pages describe the environmental compliance section; the screen you see is Amazon's and may change.
| Detail | What goes there | Who provides it |
|---|---|---|
| Country | France | you already have it |
| Producer | your company name, as registered | you already have it |
| Registration number (UIN) | FRxxxxxx_xx, one per EPR category | we obtain it from the French eco-organisation |
| Authorised representative | REP·Pro (UIN France), Béziers, France | that is us, once the mandate is accepted |
The EPR category is the line of the screen that names what you sell (packaging, electrical equipment, batteries, textiles…); one registration number belongs to one category.

FAQ
What is a UIN for France on Amazon?
The French producer registration number (identifiant unique, IDU), format FRxxxxxx_xx, issued per EPR category by the eco-organisation the producer is registered with. Amazon calls it UIN or EPR registration number.
Why does Amazon ask for an authorised representative?
Because French law lets a producer established outside France appoint a representative established in France to carry its EPR formalities (article L. 541-10-9-1 of the Code de l'environnement, applicable since 10 July 2026), and Amazon's screen has a line for that representative. REP·Pro, the company behind UIN France, is established in Béziers.
Does UIN France decide which category I fall under?
No. You tick the categories your products fall under; the service registers you for those and obtains one number per category. The category pages describe each one in Amazon's words and in the French rules.
What does it cost?
One category €29 a month or €249 a year; up to three categories €59 a month or €590 a year; up to six €89 a month or €890 a year; beyond six, €12 a month per category up to eight, monthly billing only. 12-month plan, no setup fee. Eco-contributions are invoiced by the eco-organisation, not by us.
Is UIN France part of Amazon?
No. UIN France is a brand of REP·Pro, an authorised representative established in France, with no link to Amazon; Seller Central wording is quoted only to help you find the right page.
